Synagogue restroom renovation
2017 — Built
Architectural Design
This interior build-out for synagogue restrooms creates cascading patterns of ceramic wall tile to generate visual intrigue and dynamic sight lines in an otherwise constrained footprint of an existing building. Embracing the modest budget as a design opportunity, the graphic strategy for the tile produces unexpected alignments and novel reflections, while limiting overall material use. Saturated colors and clean lines transform a previously drab room into one full of light, patterns, and joy.
